County Expo
Local talent. New connections. A county coming together.

The inaugural Women of Plumas County Expo brought an enthusiastic crowd to the Plumas-Sierra County Fairgrounds, celebrating the women, businesses and organizations that help our communities thrive.
The August 9 event showcased approximately 40 vendors, five performers and three food vendors, with support from a photographer and three sponsors. Artists, makers and women-owned businesses from across Plumas County came together to share their work and connect with the community.
From shopping and conversations to children interacting with Vortex Fire Dancers, the day offered plenty of opportunities to meet someone new.

Indian Valley, represented.
Indian Valley Chamber members Alicia’s Zen Den – Yoga and Wellness, Heaven Sent Goat Milk Soap and Bath Products and Wyld Beads were among the participating vendors, bringing local creativity and personal connections to the countywide celebration.

An idea worth bringing to life.
The event was the vision of our own Chamber Board Community Coordinator, Shelby Janea, founder of Women of Plumas County. Shelby used her own money to reserve the fairgrounds and waived booth fees to remove financial barriers for participants.
