About

The Dixie Fire Canopy Project is a nonprofit organization dedicated to restoring the natural landscape of Greenville, California, and its surrounding areas following the devastating Dixie Fire. Established in 2023, the project aims to “bring the green back to Greenville” by planting trees and shrubs in the affected regions.

In 2024, the organization set an ambitious goal to plant 400 trees and 200 shrubs. Thanks to the generous support of donors and the hard work of volunteers, they surpassed this target by planting 660 trees and 350 shrubs.

The Dixie Fire Canopy Project collaborates with local businesses and community members to revitalize the area’s natural beauty. Their efforts not only enhance the environment but also contribute to the healing and resilience of the community.
