The Indian Valley Chamber of Commerce invites residents and visitors to the 63rd annual Gold Digger’s in Greenville on Saturday, July 19. This year’s theme, “Honoring Builders, Paving Our Future,” pays tribute to the contractors, builders, architects and tradespeople dedicated to rebuilding following the devastating Dixie Fire of 2021.
Established in 1962, Gold Digger’s has been a cherished tradition in Greenville, celebrating the town’s rich history and vibrant community spirit. The event has consistently brought together residents and visitors for over six decades, offering a blend of entertainment, local culture and communal activities. In 2024, the 62nd Gold Digger’s featured a lively parade, family-friendly activities and a street dance, underscoring the community’s resilience and unity.

The theme “Honoring Builders, Paving Our Future” reflects Greenville’s appreciation for the professionals and volunteers who have played a pivotal role in the town’s recovery and rebuilding process. The Dixie Fire, which occurred in 2021, had a profound impact on the community, destroying much of the town and leaving a lasting mark on its residents. This year’s Gold Digger’s serves as a testament to the resilience and determination of those committed to restoring Greenville’s historic charm and vitality.
All companies, builders, contractors, architects and tradespeople who have contributed to the rebuild are warmly invited to participate in the parade—we want to recognize your efforts and thank you publicly for the role you’ve played in bringing Greenville back to life. Whether you’re local or from out of town, your work has made a lasting impact, and we’d love to celebrate it with the whole community.
The Gold Digger’s committee is working hard to ensure the 2025 celebration is one to remember. They welcome additional volunteers to join the planning process—whether you have an hour to spare or want to be more involved, there’s a place for everyone.
Planning meetings are open to all and take place at the Dixie Fire Collaborative office, 127 Crescent Street in Greenville, at 6 p.m. on the following Wednesdays: April 24, May 8, May 22, June 5, June 19, July3, July 10 and July 17. Your help can make a big difference in making this event special for the whole community.
