There’s a familiar buzz in the air as Indian Valley gears up for one of its most anticipated spring traditions—the Indian Valley Yard Sale Weekend, hosted by the Indian Valley Chamber of Commerce. This year’s event will take place on Saturday and Sunday, May 17 and 18, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day—a slight shift from the Friday–Saturday schedule of previous years. Residents across the valley will roll up their garage doors, unfold their tables and welcome bargain hunters from near and far.
The event is a simple but powerful celebration of community. Families, individuals and local organizations sign up to host their own yard sales, while IVCC volunteers create a printed map guiding shoppers from Crescent Mills to Taylorsville, Greenville and everywhere in between. For two full days, the valley becomes a patchwork of pop-up sales, each with its own collection of stories, memories and unexpected finds.
Maps of participating sale locations will be available digitally beginning May 15 on the IVCC’s Facebook page. Participants can also pick up physical maps at four central businesses: Crescent Country, The Taylorsville Store, The Grizzly Bite and The Valley Grind. Visitors can stop in at any of these locations to pick up a guide and plan their route for a full day of treasure hunting.
In addition to drawing local shoppers, the IVCC hopes to welcome visitors from neighboring towns like Quincy, Chester and Susanville. The event offers a perfect excuse to enjoy a scenic drive, discover small-town gems and spend the day exploring a rural community filled with charm and character. Between stops, visitors can enjoy a cup of coffee or grab lunch and support one of the many small businesses in Indian Valley.
For those interested in hosting a sale, now is the time to sign up. IVCC is accepting yard sale registrations through Friday, May 10. Anyone living in Indian Valley who wants their address included on the map can sign up using a simple online form, found at https://bit.ly/ivyardsale2025. It’s free to participate, and no sale is too small.
Whether you’re a longtime resident, a first-time seller or a visitor curious to see what Indian Valley has to offer, the Indian Valley Yard Sale Weekend is a can’t-miss opportunity to connect with neighbors, find something special and celebrate the spirit of small-town resilience. From handmade goods to vintage treasures, from useful tools to forgotten keepsakes, there’s something for everyone—and every sale helps keep the heartbeat of Indian Valley strong.
